At least 26 killed as fireworks truck explodes in China

At least 26 people were killed on Friday after a truck carrying fireworks exploded and caused a bridge to collapse on an expressway in central China, state media said.

Several vehicles fell from the bridge after the explosion about 9 am (0100 GMT) in the Sanmenxia area of Henan province, China Central Television reported.

Rescue services rushed to the site and the exact number of casualties remained unclear, it said.
