Syrian TV says at least 10 people have been killed in an explosion in central Damascus, and that the death toll could rise to 25.

State television says 10 people have been confirmed dead, and authorities believe another 15 had also died based on human remains from the scene.

The state-run channel and an official say an explosion ripped through a police bus in the centre of Syria’s capital on Friday. Syrian TV showed residents and paramedics carrying human remains.

Other footage showed a bus with blood on its seats, and cars with blown-out windows and riddled with shrapnel.
