Insisting that the issue of Hafiz Saeed is Pakistan’s internal matter, Premier Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that any concrete evidence against the LeT founder should be provided to Islamabad to be examined by this country’s courts.
If anyone had any concrete evidence against Saeed, it should be provided to Pakistan as the country’s courts are free and independent, Mr. Gilani told reporters at Hyderabad city in Sindh province on Friday evening.
He reiterated his contention that the case of Saeed was “Pakistan’s internal matter”.
Asked about the bounty announced on Saeed by the U.S., he said a policy statement on the issue had been issued by the Foreign Office and he had already expressed his views in Parliament.
Pakistan has bilateral relations with both India and the U.S. and the issue of Saeed can be discussed at the bilateral level, Mr. Gilani said without giving details.

@Kumar Iyer.
What are you saying? Would India extradite anybody Pakistan wants? Would US of A extradite soldiers who murdered innocent children in their sleep? In any extradition case the local courts have to approve the extradition. You point a finger at Pakistan's judicial system while you acquit mass murderers like Narinder Modi and then you also speak of a universal order.
Absolutely wrong Mr.Gilani. Justice does not depend a nation to say it is upto Pakistan to examine the evidence. It is for the judiciary to examine the evidence. One wonders whether you have a rightful judiciary at all in Pakistan given by the past fact of suppression of Justice Chowdhary and many others. You cannot cover up fact for long time for sure. It is an universal order. If you have not learnt the lesson from the cover up of Bin Laden, even God cannot save you.
