Six kg of heroin with a street value of Rs. 30 crore, an AK-47 rifle and 100 live cartridges smuggled from Pakistan via the Punjab border were seized here on Saturday. Two persons were arrested.

Acting on a tip-off, the State Special Operation Cell of the Punjab Police nabbed the two smugglers near the border when they were going to deliver the consignment.

The drugs, arms and ammunition, which also included four magazines, were smuggled to India from Pakistan recently, SSOC's Superintendent of Police Manminder Singh said.
