Eleven rebels arrested in Manipur

Security forces arrested 11 rebels, including two women, in Manipur on Sunday.

Among them was one injured cadre of the People's Liberation Army. He was undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

Assam Rifles troopers arrested three rebels of the Kanglei Yawol Kunna Lup along the NH 39. Two of them were middle-aged women. Cash amounting to Rs. 3,045 and some incriminating documents were recovered from them.

Two rebels of the Kangleipak Communist Party and four tribal militants of the United Liberation Army, including its commander-in-chief and finance secretary, were also held.

Besides, two women with 25 grams of opium were also arrested.

All the arrested persons were handed over to the police.
