The Central Bureau of Investigation has received “documentation” from the Sri Lankan government confirming the death of LTTE chief V. Prabakaran, the prime accused in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram said here on Monday.

“The CBI has told me that they received documentation from the Government of Sri Lanka confirming the death of Prabakaran,” the Minister told a news conference.
