Andhra Pradesh, Tirupati, 25 Feb 2010:Devotees praying to the deities of Lord Krishna and Rukmini during Theppotsavam (float festival) conducted at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala on Thursday.
In a munificent offering, a devotee on Sunday night donated Rs.1.11 crore to the Lord Venkateswara temple here. The devotee, who wished to remain anonymous, handed over a demand draft for the amount to the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams Chairman D.K. Adikesavulu.
In yet another donation, Mohan and brothers from Bangalore donated three kg of gold to the temple.
