The Pondicherry University badminton (men) team has qualified for the All India Inter University Zonal Badminton men tournament 2017-18 being hosted by KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha this week.
The qualifying was by virtue of the team finishing in fourth spot at the South Zone Inter-University Badminton (Men) tournament 2017-18 organised by the K.L. University, Vijayawada (AP) in December.
Before the team, led by manager K. Balajanagaraman and coach S. Sankaran, left for Odisha, Pondicherry University Vice-Chancellor Gurmeet Singh and Registrar (i/c) Tharanikkarasu congratulated the players and wished them well.
