UT govt. cold to central schemes: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday criticised the ruling Congress for not implementing central schemes in a proper manner.

V. Swaminathan, BJP local unit president, said the territorial government was adopting a lackadaisical approach in implementing pro-poor schemes conceived by the NDA government.

He said some of the popular schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana had not been implemented properly.

Slams tax hike

The BJP president criticised the the government for the steep increase in the entertainment tax.
