Uncertainty in Puducherry Congress

Hope the high command decides soon on the post of Chief Minister, says Namassivayam

Uncertainty prevails in the Congress over the selection of its Chief Minister and the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) is yet to be convened five days after the results were declared.

Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister of State V.Narayanasamy, Pradesh Congress Committee A.Namassivayam, who are in the race for the top post, have been camping in New Delhi while former Chief Minister V.Vaithilingam has been waiting in Puducherry for favourable tidings.

Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Mr. Namassivayam met Congress president Sonia Gandhi at her residence in New Delhi and apprised her of the political developments in Puducherry.
