The Mettupalayam police on Sunday arrested two persons and seized one kg of ganja, a motorcycle and three mobile phones from the accused.

The police said they received a tip-off about two persons selling ganja in Mettupalayam.

The team apprehended Sugumar, 21, and Sivan, 24, of Tiruvannamalai district and seized 1 kg of ganja in their possession. Preliminary investigations revealed that Sugumar was studying visual communication course in a private college and was looking for a job while Sivan was a tailor.
