DMK president M. Karunanidhi on Saturday called upon the youth to be judicious in exercising franchise and selecting candidates in the elections.

Addressing an election rally , he said that the time had come to save Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and this responsibility is a collective one. He promised good governance if the DMK-Congress alliance was voted to power.

“Our concern must be the welfare of the people. People must have a good life and assured food supply along with basic amenities. But there are persons who would come out with claims and promises that they would bring everything to the people. ” Mr. Karunanidhi said.

“The DMK is not a mere political party. It is a social outfit striving for betterment of backward class and marginalised sections,” he added.
