Around 70 activists of the Naam Tamilar Katchi staged a rail roko at the Puducherry Railway Station to protest against Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi’s invitation to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa for the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for May 26.

The activists led by the party’s Puducherry unit president Mohammed Rafeeq gathered at the station at about 1.15 p.m. and blockaded the tracks. The protesters were removed by police.
