Students trained in soft skills

A one-day workshop held here oriented final year college students on the soft skills required for career development.

The programme, held under the auspices of the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), a Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the Ministry of Human Resource Development which seeks to improve overall quality of higher education was conducted in the conference hall of Bharathidasan Government College for Women.

The soft skills sessions were led by N. Zahir Hussain, entrepreneurship development trainer from Erode, MV Alli Associate Professor Department of Nutrition and Dietetics Seethalakshmi Ramaswami College Tiruchi, Marie Lily Sharmila Assistant Professor Department of English Tagore Arts College, Asha Gupta Comptroller of Raj Nivas and Jayestri Kurushev Professor College of Nursing.

P Poongavanam, college principal, Rajiny Chanolian, organising secretary and S. Alamelu Mangai and Marie Josephine Aruna joint organising secretaries also spoke. Over 100 final year students attended the programme and were issued certificates.
