Senior Superintendent of Police V.J. Chandran on Friday inspected the Odiansalai police station. Five police stations — Tirunallar, Neravy, Kirumambakkam, Odiansalai and Muthialpet — are in the fray for the best police station award.

The stations would be evaluated based on their performance and one of them would be selected as the best police station during the Independence Day celebrations on August 15.

A team led by SSP V.J. Chandran on Friday examined the working, maintenance of records, submission of reports and the facilities available at the Odiansalai station. The team had inspected the Neravy and Thirunallar police stations in Karaikal region.
