Six polling officials, including a Tahsildar, were injured when the car in which they were travelling dashed against a road median at Mettupalayam near here on Friday.

Police said the vehicle carrying Tahsildar Balakrishnan, driver Muthu, two constables and a videographer were returning after conducting vehicle checks in Mettupalayam. The driver of the vehicle lost control when they neared an ITI and dashed against a central median. The officials sustained injuries and were referred to the Government General Hospital.
