Rangasamy pays homage to Ambedkar

Chief Minister N. Rangasamy led the people in the Union Territory and paid floral tributes at the statue of B.R. Ambedkar on his 124th birth anniversary on Tuesday.

Mr. Rangasamy, along with Speaker of the Assembly V. Sabapathy garlanded the statue of Dr. Ambedkar in front of the Assembly complex.

Ministers P. Rajavelu, N.G. Pannirselvam and T. Thiagarajan and MLAs of ruling AINRC also garlanded the statue.

Activists of various political parties and Tamil outfits took out processions to the venue to pay homage to Dr. Ambedkar. Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president A.V. Subramanian, MLAs A. Namassivayam, K. Lakshminarayanan and AIADMK MLAs P. Purushothaman, A. Anbalagan and Om Sakthi Sekar also paid the floral tributes. The Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) also observed the birth anniversary of Ambedkar on Tuesday.

NLC Chairman cum Managing Director B. Surender Mohan garlanded the statue of Ambedkar at Pudukuppam in Neyveli township and paid floral tributes.
