Rally to ‘Save the Girl Child’

Over 100 cadets of National Cadet Corps (NCC) took out a rally on Saturday to spread the message of “Save the Girl Child’ Flagged off at the NCC Group Headquarters by M. Pargunan, Commanding Officer, the rally passed through Airport Road, Lawspet and East Coast Road.

The participants carried banners, placards and pamphlets relating to the message to save the girl child.

They also raised slogans urging the people to give education to the girl children. They highlighted the negative effects of foeticides and female infanticide.
