CBSE schools have joined hands to float the Puducherry Private CBSE Schools Association.
As a body registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, the main objectives of the association would be to enhance the cooperation and exchange of ideas between the member institutions for achieving academic excellence and to jointly address issues common to the member institutions.
The association presently has institutions in Puducherry and Karaikal region as members and will soon include those from Mahe and Yanam regions.
The association also released the complete list of Private CBSE schools in Puducherry and Karaikal region that are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education to avoid parents getting duped by institutions that proclaim to be CBSE Schools without going through an affiliation process.
The newly-formed association has also elected a set of office bearers. They are as follows: president — J. Arawindhan, Managing Director, Achariya World Class Institutions; vice president — Ranson Thomas Arokiaraj, Chairman, Good Shepherd Public School, Karaikal; Secretary — Ashok Anand, Chairman, Aditya Vidyashram.
