August 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 29, 2016 12:22 pm IST - PUDUCHERRY:

Over 10 students of Pondicherry University were injured when the police resorted to a lathicharge to disperse students who blocked vehicles near the vicinity of the administrative building on Friday, demanding the immediate removal of Vice-Chancellor Chandra Krishnamurthy.

Nearly 2,000 students gathered at the main gates in the administrative building continuing with their indefinite strike, which entered the fifth day on Friday.

Though the students permitted staff working in the administrative building to enter the campus on two-wheelers, they blocked cars and other vehicles.
