Expressing solidarity with the faction led by former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, a group of AIADMK workers under the leadership of the former party legislator Om Sakthi Sekar undertook a fast at Nellithope on Wednesday demanding an investigation into the death of Jayalalithaa.

‘Probe warranted’

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sekar said since doubts were raised about the treatment given to the late Chief Minister, the Tamil Nadu Government should order a probe into her death. “There are doubts in the minds of party workers and even ordinary people as to whether her death was natural. The government should order a probe,” he said.
