NLCIL director wins knowledge award

Honoured for work on thermal units

R. Vikraman, director (HR), NLCIL, has been bestowed with the “Treasure Trove of Knowledge Award 2018” (Ariviyal Kalanjiyam) jointly instituted by the Mylai Thiruvalluvar Tamil Sangam (MTS), Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) and the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

The award, which was presented at a function in Chennai, is in recognition of his significant contributions to the thermal power projects, niche innovative approach and initiatives in the corporate and group head assignments in human resources, a press note from NLCIL said.

Mr. Vikraman received the award from M. Ponnavaikko, former Vice-Chancellor, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchi, in the presence of K.N. Ramaswamy, director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and Dr. Cheyon, secretary, MTS, during the celebrations of 32nd anniversary of Mylai Thiruvalluvar Tamil Sangam.

The programme was organised in association with NYK, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

Mr. Vikraman was instrumental in the successful construction, commissioning and operation of Thermal Power Station II Stage II project without time and cost overrun.
