Hindi is not only an effective tool of communication but also a solid platform for fostering unity among the people, said Rakesh Kumar, Director (Finance), Neyveli Lignite Corporation.
He was speaking at the valedictory of the “Hindi Fortnight” celebrations held at Lignite Hall in Block 11 of the Neyveli Township on Monday. The Director said that Hindi was being spoken by a large section of the people across the country.
“Besides acting as a means of establishing good rapport with the people in other regions with ease and fervor, Hindi also inculcates national spirit among the citizens,” he said. The Director applauded the Hindi Cell of the NLC for having launched many constructive programmes for the propagation of the language among the staff.
NLC Executive Director (Mines) C.Senthamilselvan underscored the importance of Hindi in the contemporary concourse and called upon the staff to extend their full cooperation to implement the language in all spheres of administration.
On the occasion Mr Rakesh Kumar gave away prizes to the winners of the various competitions held in connection with the celebrations. Rajesh Kumar Chaurasia, Hindi translator, and others participated.
