NEET must for all-India quota seats in vet colleges

Admissions for 15% quota

The admission of students to B.V. Sc. and Animal Husbandry degree course during the academic year 2018-19 for filling seats in recognised Veterinary Colleges (except Jammu and Kashmir) under 15% all-India quota will be under the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

In a release, M. Senthilkumar, Registrar of Pondicherry State Veterinary Council, said in a letter of February 22, the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries informed the Union Territory that NEET score would be mandatory for filling seats under the 15% all-India quota. The criteria for admission/selection of students for admission to B.V.Sc and Animal Husbandry course shall be as per Veterinary Council of India – Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education – Degree Course (B.V.Sc and A.H) Regulations, 2016.

Students interested in taking admission to B.V.Sc and A.H. degree course under 15% seats on all-India basis are advised to appear in NEET (UG)-2018 to be conducted on May 6.
