Movie hall stoned in Puducherry

Unidentified miscreants pelted stones on a cinema theatre on Kamaraj Salai on Tuesday protesting the Deepavali release of the Vijay starrer 'Kaththi' .

The miscreants who came on two-wheelers pelted stones at Balaji Theatre at 4 p.m. damaging the glass panes and fled .

The film has drawn the ire of pro-Tamil groups, that are opposing its release because of the alleged links between the producer and Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The Dhanavantri Nagar police have registered a case.
