The Olympic sport of equestrian is more than a game; it is the manifestation of the best of man-human relationships, going by a remark that one of the organisers of the Pondicherry Equestrian Challenge 2014 said before the curtains went up on the event.

The riders and horses who were the best in sync cantered to the finish line, picking up trophies and prizes on the way.

After a contest drawn over two weekends that tested mettle of both man (in some cases, woman) and beast, the top prizes in each event were presented by Tourism Minister Rajavelu on Sunday evening.
