The Centralised Admission Committee (Centac) on Friday announced that the first round of counselling for the management quota seats for MBBS course under the all-India NEET merit will be held on Monday.

In a press release, Centac coordinator said the counselling would be held on Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The candidates belonging to the Union Territory of Puducherry claiming seats under the general merit from rank 1 to 1375 religious minority (Christianity) and linguistic minority (Telugu) will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be followed by counselling for all-India quota, including the Union Territory of Puducherry candidates, till 5 p.m.

Minority quota

Candidates belonging to Union Territory of Puducherry claiming seats under minority category (Telugu) should produce transfer certificate of candidates or other documentary proof with mother tongue shown as Telugu and they should produce other relevant certificates, if any.

Those candidates falling under the minority category (Christianity) should produce certificate indicating to prove his or her religion and produce other relevant certificates if any. The candidates claiming seats under NRI quota should have indicated in NEET the status of NRI/OCI/PIO in the nationality category.

The Centac announced that the second round of counselling for MBBS degree courses for the Union Territory of Puducherry candidates will be held on August 17. This will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All the eligible SC candidates claiming seat under general merit rank 1 to 1375 and candidates of all categories in the Union Territory of Puducherry can attend the counselling. Call letters can be dowloaded from www.centaconline.in

Those eligible candidates who have not received the counselling call letters but fall within the above category or merit marks can attend the counselling on the respective date and time, with all the original certificates and one set of photocopies of all the documents and a non-refundable fee of Demand Draft for ₹750 (₹350 for SC/BT) drawn in favour of the Convenor, Centac, and payable at Puducherry.
