LPG tankers in Puducherry on Tuesday kept off the roads in response to the strike called by the Southern Region LPG Bulk Transport Owners Association.

The association had called for a strike demanding a new contract from oil companies for transporting LPG from the loading points to the bottling plants.

Tankers carrying LPG from Puducherry to neighbouring districts were parked at the Indian Oil Corporation bottling plant at Odiampet near Villianur due to the strike.
