Kalarigram to celebrate 7th anniversary

Kalarigram based in Auroville and adjacent to Adishakti theatre, will celebrate the seventh anniversary of its founding on November 1.

Launched as a branch of the Hindustan Kalari Sangham based in Kozhikode, Kerala, Kalarigram focuses on training students of all age groups on authentic kalari movements and engaging in deeper research on the martial art form, its concept and its influence on other art forms.

The place also offers traditional treatment — which has been utilised by patients from all walks of life. Occasionally, Kalarigram takes in celebrities from all over the world.

Continuing till November 10, Kalarigram will hold workshops which are open to beginners as well as those who are familiar with the practice.

“While it is suggested that participants attend the full duration of the workshop, drop-ins are also welcome,” says , says Lakshman Gurukkal, who heads Kalarigram.
