The pre-conference workshop for Connaissance 2017, an academic brainstorming event for undergraduate medical students from institutions across the country, began at Jipmer on Friday.
Billed as the first symposia of its kind exclusively for undergraduates, the three-day event that aims at inculcating an integrated approach towards medical diagnosis and management, features a host of experts from India and abroad.
The pre-conference workshops focused on multi-disciplinary topics such as basic life support (Department of Anaesthesiology), first aid skills (Emergency Medicine), ECG (Cardiology), Surgical Skills (Surgery), safe delivery of babies (O&G), primary management of sprains and fractures (Orthopaedics), research methodology (Preventive and Social Medicine) and legal issues in medical practice (Forensic medicine and Toxicology).
