The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) has announced the results of the MBBS Entrance Examination 2014 — 2015, which was conducted on June 8.
Based on a centralised evaluation by a seven-member committee, the merit list of candidates under various categories has been notified.
The counselling dates for various categories scheduled for July have also been announced.
Counselling for OPH, UR, OBC, SC, ST, and OCI/NRI is slated for July 10 (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.), P-UR, P-OBC and P-SC is for July 11 (2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.)
The Jipmer academic centre is the venue for counselling.
The pool of 150 seats available at the institution includes quotas of five seats for overseas candidates and 40 seats for candidates from Puducherry.
The entrance test was held at 376 venues across 36 cities of India.
A total number of 93,292 eligible candidates registered for the entrance examination.
Admission letters will be issued on July 16 and MBBS classes will commence on July 17
