The first counselling for Jipmer MBBS admissions 2017-18 was completed on Friday with all 200 seats, including the 50 seats on the Karaikal campus, filled.
Based on the vacancy, second round of counselling will be held on July 19.
In today’s counselling, candidates belonging to Puducherry-UR/OBC/SC and NRI/OCI Categories were called. In all, 300 candidates for UR, 160 for OBC, 77 for SC, and 60 candidates for NRI/OCI quota were called.
R.P. Swaminathan, Dean Academics, Jipmer, conducted the counselling. S.C. Parija, Director, and J. Balachander, Medical Superintendent, Jipmer, were present.
