It is like a Swachch Bharat campaign in mission mode at the Assembly premises.

Swarms of workers are dusting furniture and file cabinets are being cleared out as the premises are being spruced up for the 14th Legislative Assembly of the Union Territory to commence business.

The 13th Legislative Assembly of Union Territory has been dissolved following declaration of results of Assembly polls by Election Commission of India.

Pursuant to the declaration of the results, the EC on Saturday issued the notification of the names of newly elected members from the just concluded Assembly polls. The notification of Election Commission was formally handed over to the Lieutenant Governor A.K. Singh by the Chief Electoral Officer V. Candavelou. A new notification was issued for Constitution of the new Assembly.
