Health sciences college gets NAAC ‘A’ grade

The Mother Theresa Post Graduate and Research Institute of Health Sciences, offering health care professional courses in nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy and medical laboratory technology in Puducherry has been accredited with ‘A’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The NAAC is an organisation that assesses and accredits higher education Institutions in India.

The NAAC is an autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission. Institutes are graded from ‘D’ to ‘A’ based on various parameters. They inspected the institute in September 2017.

R. Murali, dean of the institution said that the institute has been able to get this top grading due to the excellent infrastructure and highly qualified and dedicated faculty who impart best quality education.

Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy and Health Minister Malladi Krishna Rao congratulated the Dean, faculty and all staff members on the achievement.
