Government schools record 77 per cent success

The Thiruvalluvar Government Girls Higher Secondary School bagged the first place in the Plus Two examinations among the government higher secondary schools in Puducherry.

This school achieved 98.36 pass percentage, followed by Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kathirkamam and Karikalampakkam (96.43 per cent) and Marimalai Adigal Government Higher Secondary School in Embalam (95.93 per cent).

The government higher secondary schools that secured the first three places in Karaikal region includes Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Thirunallur (93.92 per cent), Jawaharlal Nehru Government Higher Secondary School in Nedungadu (86.78 per cent) and Annai Theresa Government Girls Higher Secondary School (86.64 per cent).

Overall pass percentage in government schools in Puducherry and Karaikal was recorded as 77 per cent, 0.45 percent less than the previous year. While in Puducherry region the pass percentage was 76.14 per cent, it was 79.93 per cent in Karaikal region.
