German ambassador calls on Rangasamy

German Ambassador to India Michael Steiner made a courtesy call on Chief Minister N. Rangasamy at his chamber in the Legislative Assembly here on Wednesday.

Mr. Steiner held discussions with the Chief Minister on tapping the potential in different sectors in Puducherry.

Mr. Steiner told reporters that Chief Minister N. Rangasamy had expressed keen interest in promoting tourism in the city in collaboration with Germany.

The Chief Minister also wanted clean investment and establishment of non-polluting industries under joint ventures.

He said that the purpose of the visit was to underline that Germany was not only looking at the capital Delhi and bigger states but also smaller cities like Puducherry that were beautiful and attractive.
