The controversial former Registrar of Pondicherry Central University Raajiv Yaduvanshi has been transferred to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mr. Yaduvanshi took charge as Registrar in December last after he was deputed for a period of three years. However, he was relieved recently from the post following a dispute between him and Vice-Chancellor Chandra Krishnamurthy over the administration of the university. A Central Committee from the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development conducted an enquiry with them.

Mr. Yaduvanshi had also been at loggerheads with Chief Minister N. Rangasamy when the former was Finance Secretary.

The Union Home Ministry passed an order stating that the Joint-Cadre Authority Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMU) cadre had approved the transfer/posting of the IAS officer.

Other IAS officers, Rakesh Bali from Andaman and Nicobar Islands and R.K. Mishra from Arunachal Pradesh have been shifted to Puducherry.

P.R. Meena and D.K. Mishra from Puducherry were transferred to the government of Delhi.

Secretary to Lieutenant Governor and Chief Electoral Officer of Puducherry T. Shrikant was transferred to Goa. Jitendra Narain was shifted to Puducherry.

The Union Home Ministry also effected transfers in the IPS cadre. Senior Superintendent of Police Omvir Singh was shifted to Delhi. Isaac Pertin from Arunachal Pradesh and A.K. Gawas from Goa come to Puducherry.
