This Women’s Day on Sunday, showcase your singing skills, engage in a treasure hunt across the city or take home messages about empowering yourselves from a range of experts.
For the second successive year, The Hindu , Puducherry, is lining up a variety of women-centric events on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8.
The ‘All Women Treasure Hunt’ is open to single/two-member teams which have to get to the destination following a set of clues at different locations in the city. A two-wheeler, a valid driving licence and helmet are compulsory to participate in the treasure hunt.
Tourism Minister P. Rajavelu will flag off this event at 7.30 am from Le Cafe on Beach Road.
The second part of the event will feature a panel discussion by eminent women personalities at 5.30 p.m. at Hotel Surguru on the topic of women’s empowerment.
Individuals can also exhibit their talents during the evening session.
The prizes for the winners of the treasure hunt will be distributed by the Tourism Minister the same evening in the presence of R. Mihir Vardhan, Secretary, Tourism.
Gifts and other goodies are up for grabs for participants in the individual talent show.

Registration is open at The Hindu office, No. 135, First Floor, on Mission Street, and will close on Saturday evening. Spot registration is also accepted.
