Entries sought for National Bravery Awards

Nominations should include relevant proofs and certificates

The government has called for entries for the National Bravery Awards conferred upon children in recognition of their exemplary acts of bravery.

A press release said that the incidents of bravery by children between the ages of 6 and 18 that took place between July 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018 can be proposed for the award.

The acts of bravery shall involve events such as rescuing people from drowning, saving children from beasts, prevention of loss of lives, taking timely action to prevent electric leakage or fire in order to save lives and other similar activities during natural calamities.

Nominations recommended by the Government of Puducherry will be submitted to the Government of India for finalisation. Nominations should include relevant proofs and certificates such as newspaper clippings, FIR etc., the release said.
