Uday Kumar Reddy, Divisional Railway Manager, Tiruchi division, has instructed officials to maintain cleanliness at the Puducherry railway station.

Mr. Reddy, who made a surprise inspection, expressed his displeasure, taking particular exception to the proliferation of posters, banners and graffiti on the walls.

Stating that Puducherry was an important rail destination, Mr. Reddy wanted officials to ensure that the premises were properly maintained.

He also sought the cooperation of the passengers and the public in achieving the objective.

Rest room facilities for railway officers were also inaugurated during the DRM’s visit.
