Leaders of Congress and DMK continued their talks on Saturday in a bid to finalise the constituencies in which they will field candidates .
After reaching a seat-sharing agreement under which the Congress got 21 seats and the DMK nine, the leaders of of both parties had commenced negotiations on Friday to identify the constituencies. The negotiations continued on Saturday.
For the second consecutive day, the leaders of both parties attempted to iron out differences and come to a conclusion of allocation of constituencies.
The Congress was led by Pradesh Congress Committee president A.Namassivayam while DMK was represented by former Chief Minister R.V.Janakiraman.
DMK leader S.P.Sivakumar said, “Whatever decision that is taken here will be communicated to the leaders of both parties in Chennai. They will take a final call and announce the name of constituencies.”
