Devotees queue up for darshan on Siddhi Day

Devotees from all over the country on Monday queued up at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram to have a glimpse of Sri Aurobindo’s room and samadhi on the occasion of anniversary of the Siddhi Day. The day started with a meditation around 6 a.m. and visitors were allowed into the ashram from 6.30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

According to Ashram sources, it was on this day that Sri Aurobindo had a major spiritual experience and he handed over the charge of spiritual development of the disciples and the outer organisation of the ashram to The Mother.
