Conference on Non Communicable Diseases

Bringing doctors and researchers on a single platform, the Department of Community Medicine, Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences is organising an international seminar on Research for the Prevention and Control of Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) on January 13 and 14.

The seminar is being held in collaboration with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (USA), Florida International University (USA), Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF, Chennai).

The event is supported by US NIH Fogarty International Center and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), said a release from the institution.

The seminar is aimed at providing an overview of research in NCDs with respect to design, conduct and implementation of population based strategies.

The seminar will have international and Indian experts, and participants from Jipmer, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.
