Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy on Monday called on the 21-year-old woman, who was rescued by the police, from falling prey to the blue whale challenge game.

Mr. Narayanasamy was accompanied by chief whip R.K.R. Anantharaman, AIADMK MLA A. Anbalagan and Director-General of Police S.K. Gautam.

The woman, employed with the KYC section of a nationalised bank in Puducherry, was rescued by the police in the nick of time at Gandhi Thidal on the Beach Road.

Asking her not to indulge in such games, Mr. Narayanasamy told her that it was necessary for her to return to normalcy.

He asked the parents of the woman not to leave her alone and shower love and affection towards their daughter.

The government would render any required help, he said.

Counselling arranged

Police said that a doctor from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research had been asked to counsel the woman in her house.

The police have recovered the laptop of the woman from her friend’s house.
