The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Puducherry, has welcomed the new IT policy for Puducherry which “puts the spotlight on creating the right ecosystem for software development in the State.”
CII Puducherry chairman R.D. Shrikanth said the policy would “help the State to position itself as a preferred destination for IT companies.”
Mr. Shrikanth said the policy, which was framed on the lines of the Digital India programme, placed greater importance on ease of doing business, technology enabled governance and several financial incentives such as capital investment subsidy, stamp duty exemption and power and interest subsidy.
He said the policy was framed on the lines of the Digital India Programme. He thanked the government for considering various points suggested by the CII and said the CII would work closely with the Government of Puducherry for overall development.
