Activists of Human Rights and Consumer Protection Society and several other organisations on Saturday staged a demonstration demanding to order probe by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into child prostitution racket that surfaced last year in April.

They also conducted a meet-the-people programme near New Bus Stand and also distributed pamphlets reiterating their demands.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the investigation conducted by the Crime Branch CID police, the activists said they would continue their agitation until the case was transferred to CBI for further probe.
