A woman candidate of the AIADMK in Mannadipet constituency fainted while campaigning on Sunday.
M. Mahadevi (36) has been undertaking door-to-door campaign in the constituency since the party announced her candidature.
On Sunday, she reportedly skipped breakfast and went out at 7 a.m. to seek votes at P.S. Palayam village. When she fainted on the main road while campaigning, her supporters rushed her to the Government Community Health Centre at Mannadipet.
She was discharged later, but advised rest.
