The local unit of the BJP has demanded registration of a case against Minister for Health Malladi Krishna Rao in the medical admission irregularity.

A delegation led by party president V. Saminathan on Monday called on Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare J. P Nadda and submitted a memorandum seeking a CBI probe against Mr. Malladi.

The party wanted the CBI to widen the ongoing probe into the medical admission irregularity. The government officials against whom the agency had registered a case were only acting on the directions of the Health Minister. Hence , a case has to be registered against Malladi, Mr. Saminathan said.
