The Puducherry unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has launched its membership distribution drive.
The party unit president V. Saminathan on Saturday inaugurated the drive by distributing membership cards to 240 newly inducted members. The party had inducted around 30,000 members after the party high command gave a call for massive membership drive after Amit Shah took over as national president. He said the party appointed 24 volunteers in Puducherry, four in Karaikal and one each in Mahe and Yanam regions to distribute membership cards to the new members. This would be completed in a few months, he said.
