Bike-lifter held, five vehicles recovered

The police on Monday arrested a bike-lifter and recovered five stolen motorcycles from him. According to police, a team was conducting vehicle checks on the 45-feet Road when they intercepted one Vijay (19) of Jaiganesh Nagar riding a motorcycle.

When asked for the Registration Certificate of the vehicle he was riding, he gave several excuses.

Enquiry

During enquiry the police found that Vijay had stolen the motorcycle in front of the Bharathi Park in the city.

The police recovered five stolen bikes from the accused. He was produced before a local court and remanded to custody in the Kalapet Central Prison.
